Voting Countywide

The County Board of Education is responsible for ensuring that all students in San Mateo County receive an excellent education.
This includes, but is not limited to, working with the County Superintendent of Schools to support the County's Districts, serving as its own District for San Mateo County court & community schools (including the school at juvenile hall), hearing appeals for inter-district transfers & charter schools, and advocating for effective laws and policies that will lead to ever-improving outcomes for all students in San Mateo County.
Each seat on the County Board of Education is elected Countywide, that is, EVERY VOTER IN THE COUNTY has a vote for each of the seven (7) seats on the County Board, if and when these races appear on the ballot (when the terms are up & if there is a challenge for the seat).
This November, the ONLY County Board Seat on the ballot is for AREA 4, as there were not challengers for the Area 5, 6, and 7 seats.
So, if you LIVE and VOTE in San Mateo County, you can vote in this Race for the Area 4 seat on the Board of Education & I hope you will.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or to host an event, make calls or send postcards in your San Mateo County community... 20 cities and 23 public school districts make for a lot of voters to reach out to - about 420,000 voters, so our campaign needs all the help we can get!
